Symposium: Looking Back on a Generation of LGBTQ Ideas and Issues at York College
Join us for a day of discussions with leaders in the LGBTQ+ community of activists in Queens. This day-long event’s purpose is to bring together faculty, staff, students and neighbors in the greater Queens community to discuss and document LGBTQ+ topics and history.

10:30 am – 12:00 pm Activism panel discussion filmed in 360 video: This panel will give veteran activists and community organizers an opportunity to share their experience in advocacy work with a younger generation who still has a lot of work ahead of them in terms of organizing as well as developing an agenda that others will support.
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Keynote address by Pauline Park
2:30 pm – 4:00 pm Gender Fluidity & Transgender Rights panel discussion filmed in 360 video: This panel will provide a great dialogue space for different generations of LGBTQ+ people and their allies to exchange ideas about gender fluidity and discuss what the future holds for transgender folks.
